To promote African cultural and creative industries
OVAL created the Forum Création Africa at La Gaîté Lyrique to promote the key players in African creativity and innovation.
From audiovisual production (TV series, cinema, and animation) to immersive worlds (video games and XR) and publishing (comics), both professionals and the general public had the chance to engage with and experience the full scope of African creativity and innovation.
This unprecedented event aims to become the go-to gathering for creators, alternating between France and the African continent, and setting the stage for the opening of a dedicated space for these industries in Paris in 2025.
The event
For real.
For three days, Forum Création Africa brought together hundreds of professionals from diverse backgrounds, serving as a true platform for artists, creators, entrepreneurs, and citizens to connect.
The first day, dedicated to professionals and the press, fostered exchanges and collaboration opportunities through round tables, masterclasses, keynotes, and networking spaces. The highlight of the day was an awards ceremony attended by the Ministers of Culture and Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The following two days, open to the general public, showcased the richness of African creativity through premieres, comic book, VR, and gaming corners, an e-sports competition, and a closing concert featuring five stars of pan-African urban music.
A powerful experience for the future of MansA
Under the leadership of Liz Gomis and Christelle Folly, with the support of the Ministries of Culture and Europe and Foreign Affairs, we had the joy and privilege of working on an inspiring project that allowed us to discover Africa, its countries, and its people in a way rarely seen. The Forum Création Africa was an incredible success that will undoubtedly lead to more, always under the insightful, creative, and inspired direction of MansA.
